The Territory-wide Identity Card Replacement Exercise has ended and the Smart Identity Card Replacement Centres (SIDCCs) have ceased to provide services. Eligible members of the public who have yet to apply for a new smart identity card should make appointment at Registration of Persons Office - Hong Kong Office, Kowloon Office, Kwun Tong Office or Tuen Mun Office for replacement application. The new Smart Identity Card has been introduced on November 26, 2018. Its security features, card durability as well as chip technology on personal data protection have been enhanced.
